My mentor finally had a show when I'm in the country and can go to opening night. She and her husband held the show in shared office space, so the people who work there get to enjoy the art. 

He is a photographer. A family loved the pictures of mommy/daughter/niece. I realized that the women he photographs must feel so elegant/strong/beautiful/glamorous during the shoots and when they see the pictures. I realized how powerful his pictures must be for women's self-esteem. 

He co-creates the pictures with them. Women are more open to it than men. 

I'm also astounded by two things
- that people would want large pictures of people who are not them in their homes
- how much those pictures cost!

This is pertinent because there is a gallery that would like to host the show and sell pictures. 

I have trouble with both of these concepts.

Footage on social media appears to show a Ukrainian-operated U.S.-made drone destroy a Russian short-range anti-aircraft missile system. The air defense systems are ~$25 million. 

Two Russian military helicopters were lost in one day. 

In addition to being an additive for gasoline, ethanol is used for explosives. Ukraine targeted Russian ethanol plants.
