Putting the decs up

We hit a snag with the decs as the prelit tree (which was far from cheap a few years back) was doing my head in - it was shedding loads of bits of polystyrene and some of its branches had broken. terry said he could fix the broken parts but we decided it was better in the bin mostly because of the polystyrene bits.
We went out to find a replacement, knowing there wouldn't be many around now of the size we wanted (4ft). Nothing in Tesco. Found one in Range but it was somewhat ugly and very heavy with a big base. Last chance - B&Q and found one int he size we wanted and which was prelit and also it was quite good to look at. Almost every tree was on offer at B&Q but not the one we chose!
Anyway, it looks fine in the corner and better than expected.
Got a lot of the indoor decs up but realised I'd be one lot of lights short for outside and I have two spare sets that haven't been used yet but they are only for indoors! Some I'd put up indoors are suitable for outside but no way was I going to take them down again and swap them!
I had forgotten binning two sets of lights last year that had some bulbs no longer working.
Anyway, we will not put outside lights in one of the usual places and I've not decided which yet. Is it worth all this messing  about?!
I've been feeling a bit off today with a bad stomach and hope this is going to settle down. Not sure an Indian curry was a good idea for our evening meal!
