Indy had his first hack out with us today. Mike walked with us just to help. Everything going so well. Then Jack spooked at something and galloped off with Eva- all the way across a massive field. Obviously Indy followed. I can't fault him but there was nothing I could do. It wasn't a nice experience being totally out of control (I mean I've barely trotted him never mind going flat out across an open field) and it was horrible not being able to do anything to help Eva. Anyway Jack eventually was stopped by the gate at the end of the track. We got off, tried to calm down and took some deep breaths then managed to get back on and calmly walk home. Not the experience we wanted for our first hack together but everyone was ok (including the startled cyclist who had to jump out of Jack's way!!)
