Lake District day 6 - Goodbye (from Buttermere)

Unfortunately, our trip to the Lake District is coming to an end. We did our last morning shoot at Buttermere and then drove back to Portinscale where we said goodbye to the owners of The Mount, where we have stayed since Monday.

We didn't get the light we were hoping for, but we couldn't wait because we had to leave the house and start our journey home. We stopped for lunch at Keswick and then drove to Newcastle airport, where I'm uploading this blip now...

It's been a great week and it seems we have been very lucky with the weather! Rain (and storms) last week, good weather this week, rain forecasted for next week. Who knew when we made our plans and reservations back in February or so...
