Licking the bowl

It’s been a very busy few weeks, hence my blip silence. We’ve finally sold M’s mums house!
Today is a recuperation day, so I’ve got a Christmas cake in the oven. I think I’ve only ever used 2 recipes for Christmas cake in 50 years. This is my ‘new’ favourite, a Dan Lepard one for Black fruit cake from the guardian about 12 years ago. Before that it was from ‘The Dairy Book of Home Cookery’ .
Smells rather fragrant.
