Cat and Mouse
One of the downsides of sharing a home with felines is their tendency to bring their toys inside. I much prefer them when the toys don't have their entrails hanging out - and this little fella was found down the back of he kitchen radiator with two cats scrabbling to get at him.
I put the cats away and spent 20 comedy minutes chasing the damn thing round the kitchen, pausing only to grab a quick blip as it sprinted up the scratching post. These little buggers are quick - and they can't half jump, too.
I finally got it in a box, ran outside, where it promptly leapt for freedom - into the claws of the cat. Eventually I had to rugby tackle the cat to give Jerry a chance to make a bid for freedom (they make a terrible noise when in the cat's claws...).
I'm thinking it's a Wood Mouse, but any mousey experts are welcome to pass judgement...
