Thank you for all the comments, hearts and stars yesterday for my blipversary!
We woke lateish and then hung around in bed with tea and word puzzles for ages, finally getting up and having breakfast mid morning!
I drove down to Mt&H’s earlier than I’d planned as AR was off school with a bad cold so I could spend the day with her and help them out with child care a bit as H was out and Mt had zoom calls to be on, then they were both helping with the school fair later.
Poor little sausage wasn’t well at all…she’d regressed to just lying on the sofa listlessly watching old episodes of Bluey. I decided to wear a mask (first time in years!) as I really don’t want to catch anything now before Christmas, or to take germs back to K who is very prone to getting flu around this time every year.
We decided to watch a proper film instead of Bluey and after she’d had some more medicine which brought her temperature down we snuggled up to watch That Christmas, a new animation on Netflix which we both enjoyed. By the end of the film she was definitely perkier and opened some presents (extra). Having told me she wants to be an artist and a historian when she grows up she was particularly pleased with the Tudors colouring book I’d got her but she also liked the various pens and other colouring things I’d got. She’s having an arty party on Sunday with lots of art activities with her friends….if she’s better of course.
Mt, H and Mx got back from the Christmas fair and Taekwondo and we had some delicious pasta for supper, chatting about what they do and don’t like for Christmas food and drink, then she managed some Colin the caterpillar cake with us all singing (extra)….mind you my wearing of the mask may have been useless given I ate a slice after she’d blown all over it!
Left them at bed time and headed back to K’s where we watched Gogglebox and had some tea before bed. K wasn’t feeling on top form so I hope she hasn’t already picked something up!
