Christmas in Winchester

The Arc in Winchester was showing an exhibition of finalists from the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards 2024. I’d seen some of the images in the media, so had to investigate. The Cathedral and it’s Christmas Market were also a draw.

I had a lovely morning wandering round the cathedral and market before walking up the high street to The Arc.  The exhibition was all I hoped for with high quality well observed comedy images. There was also an exhibition of wildlife works by a local artist, Zoe Fitchet which were fantastic.

It was then time to walk back down for one last walk round the market before heading back to the car park via the older parts of the city.  I spotted this traditional bookshop dressed for Christmas and shining out of the darkness.

It was a good day!
