CACTUS

The brilliantly coloured cactus.

Extra:  It was very sad to read in the current Private Eye that Aldi had "tens of thousands" of plush toys made in China, shipped to the UK and then destroyed.  It was because they were baby reindeer, and they didn't want the toy to have negative associations with the recently dramatised 'Baby Reindeer'.  It is bad enough that so many of this type of toy are made at all, but to be made and sent straight to landfill is so frustrating when we are each trying to limit the volumes of trash we discard.
(Apparently, a few escaped and found their way onto ebay. )
