Getting Cosy For Christmas

We’ve spent a lot of the day waiting in vain for things to arrive: firstly, a delivery of logs for the fire  (our log man has been understandably busy clearing fallen trees in the wake of Storm Darragh but has promised our logs for Monday); secondly, a parcel from Amazon, now rescheduled for next week.

We’ve taken it in turns to venture out into the dank, drizzly and raw weather to do a bit of shopping and make a start on writing Christmas cards.

At least it’s looking cosy inside as this part of yesterday afternoon’s decorating testifies. I should point out that the wine bottles are not a permanent feature of our Christmas decor, just an accompaniment to dinner! The Bucks Fizz is a present waiting to be wrapped!
