Mistletoe

What a horrid day, it continued to rain. I pottered in my pjs. TT went out to church!

I prepped a fruitcake, and left the fruit soaking, then made pancakes. Late morning, I decided the rain wasn’t quite so heavy, so dared to go down town for a few bits and pieces. When I was walk home I bumped into TT. He was in full waterproof gear and was on his way to watch BB’s rugby. I was non commital as to whether I would join him.

I had lunch, a scone which I had bought in the artisanal deli, it was rather too garlicky for me (leek, cheese and garlic), but suffice to say that I am safe from vampires!

I ventured out to rugby, and arrived in the second half. The rain had eventually stopped. There was hardly anyone watching, but I struggled to find TT. Maybe because it was so dark. The pitch was a mud bath. It was a very close game, and BB’s team won by one point.

TT and I walked round by the river, which was high, and then picked up a few provisions for tea. I made a prawn curry, while TT watched a movie.

Later we watched the last episodes of Slow Horses. BB arrived home very briefly, but then headed off back to Glasgow. He said he needed two showers to get rid of all the mud! I was not grateful for the bag of very muddy kit which he left behind.

I spotted this bucket of soggy mistletoe when I was out earlier.
