Snow Globe Lantern, Aylesford

The sun definitely hasn't got it's hat on a the moment - if anything it was even darker and gloomier than yesterday! We still managed a stroll down to the Chequers for a quick drink. We had a short walk along the High Street and that's where I spotted this snow globe lantern (with proper falling "snow") in the window of our local financial advisors. It really glowed in the darkness.
Soon enough we were back home and hungry so we finished off the  delicious gochujang cauliflower cheese that my brother made last night.
Gochujang is a Korean fermented chilli paste and is a real game changer - it adds a fantastic sweet, spicy note and really enhances the cheesiness. I also did some cooking yesterday - dark chocolate and orange pancakes with a caramel sauce. They recipe worked so well as they were light and fluffy and the dark chocolate undercut the sweetness of the caramel. Luckily, there are a couple left over so we're going to have them again with custard - yum!
