Morning with the Eagles

Suzanne and I made our annual (although we missed a year here and there) to the Conowingo Dam to photograph Bald Eagles.  We're fortunate that it's only 90 minutes from home, so we loaded up the car with multiple coats, socks, gloves, etc and headed out before dawn.

Interactions between the birds was the most sought after photo, especially wrestling over fish. The closest decent shot I got of the action was this one, where the juvenile encroached on the adult's space in the hope of snagging that fish.  It was unsuccessful but no doubt would try again.

I have also included a photo from the many flyovers. The morning sun added a golden hue to the bird.
