Cutie

The birds fairly piled in to feed today after the bird food was liberally topped up. 

The long-tailed tit family came in en masse with a view to consuming as many suet pellets as possible before dusk, vying with blue tits, great tits, greenfinches, robins, dunnocks, a great spotted woodpecker,  a couple of white doves, two wood pigeons and a wren.  

You cannot tell the male and female long-tailed tits apart but they are just so cute, very Disney with their large round eyes, especially when they fluff up in the cold. I can from the comfort of being inside focus the lens on the bird table and with two dog walks under my belt and the gym today I feel justified in staying in the warm.
