Houses, home and song

What a day.

Elbows and I started off walking the dogs together and then helping his mum finish up in a flat she’s selling as contract exchange is either tomorrow or the day after. A fence had blown down, the loft needed checking, post collecting and keys leaving. It is great to have this ‘burden’ taken off her.

When we got home, we took a call about another viewing of our house. The interested party seemed really keen to view ASAP and as David is having surgery this week, we thought we’d grab it today. So I spent the next few hours getting it ready again.

Elbows meanwhile, arranged to meet a colleague with their dogs in tow and he landed up getting locked into the park. Really really not ideal. Added complication.

The viewing was incredibly positive. The lady and her 2 daughters had obviously decided they loved the house even before they arrived. Their excitement was thrilling!

So we wait to see - although the lady said very confidently that she’d be putting in her offer the next day.

When they left, we left, as we were late to a church carol singing gathering at the train station. And it was wonderful. So many people smiled at us nicely and happily took invites to our Christmas services. It was so so encouraging.

Back to the church, a prayer meeting and then home for a very very late supper. A great day in many ways.
