Farewell!

It was Claire's leaving do today.

She has featured in my blips a few times and is now off to have her baby.

We (seven of us) made her this.
It is a count down to the due date which is next month.
It was tricky picking things to put into every little pocket as we still don't know if baby will be a boy or a girl.....but even trickier was trying to make the advent calendar without her knowing about it.....which proved near impossible. We grabbed every chance we got; when she had a meeting; when she popped out to lunch and when she left early to catch her train was the best time to sneakily sew a stitch or two.

I am proud of the end product, at one point it felt like we might not finish it but it looks great and she says she loves it :)

There were tears, quite a few really, and she even gave out her own presents! Which is what got me going.....oh and when Simon said goodbye. He lingered a little, his lip quivered and then his eyes went red, that's when I first went.....but then I cry at anything, so I'm told! Haha!

Come next week we will feel her presence gone.....

My friend has a baby. I'm recording all the noises he makes so later I can ask him what he meant.
