Third time lucky?

I’ve started reading this book twice before and not got more than a couple of chapters in and it’s been abandoned. I’m not sure why I can’t settle into it but I’m giving it another go so hopefully this time we’ll get along.
Dentist today went as well as it could. I was shaking like a leaf by the time I went in (had to wait 20 mins in the waiting room which didn’t help..) but he was very good, did the ouchy jabs first then did x rays while waiting for the freeze to take.
The first tooth was a bit loose and took no effort to pull, the other needed a bit of drilling but came out easily as well, all in all not as bad as I’d thought it would be.
