Lost in Thought

The lights of Castleton

With the weather looking a bit dreich we walked into Castleton with Gill's sister and her husband, stopped for coffee and then walked up to Speedwell Cavern, which was a lead mine back in the 1800s. An interesting boat trip along a tunnel to some of the old lead workings.

As we walked up the beginnings of Winnats Pass, the light on the hills around the town was a delight.  By the time we were walking back down the forecast drizzle had arrived. So we enjoyed lunch in the Three Roofs Cafe and a look around the Christmas Trees in the church.   Light up Castleton results in some very tastefully decorated trees and shop fronts along the main street - I looked for a viewpoint while the others were shopping.

Narrowly avoided being Whamageddoned!

I'm running out of extras so I've put two together for my blip.
