Supper tonight in the HM.
We drove to Aberaeron this morning: our first visit for over 2 months. We were relieved to find the house undamaged by Storm Darragh. The drive up was interesting as there was evidence of the destruction caused by Darragh. Many trees were down, some only partially cleared including a huge branch ensnared by the other branches and precariously dangling over the road waiting to complete its destiny.
It is interesting to see the progress to the harbour sea defences though as you can see, it is a work in progress. The breakwater is nearly complete and must be working as there was no flooding from any surge caused by Storm Darragh.
There was no wind today so the harbour was like a mill pond and provided perfect reflections.
We're treating ourselves to dinner in the Harbour Master restaurant (see blip) later this evening.
