One shot wonder
There were times this morning when it almost brightened up, but this was as good as it got and it must have lasted all of 5 minutes, since when it's got darker and darker. Anyway, here we are with the only shot I took today. I don't think I've ever said that on blip before, I usually take far too many, but in the reserve the birds were either hiding or very high up in the alder trees. Never mind, one good thing is that the Trust have almost re-opened the section of the reserve that has been closed for over a year for flood damage. I saw someone walking there and discovered the nearest gate closed but unlocked so helped myself. The gate to get out again was locked, but I scrambled over that - tut tut! Also the old path along the river is being cleared, either for temporary use while the ancient boardwalk is replaced or permanently if they're simply going to remove it. At least something's finally happening!
From the reserve I walked on into town to start my Christmas shopping (yes, I know, I'm late), also to get food for tomorrow which I'm spending with friends. And now I'm home with rather too much to do, but hey, it'll either happen or it won't ;))
Friday tomorrow - don't the weeks whizz by? Have a good evening xx
