Pirate Meg’s Last Day

Monday morning, and no work for me—that never gets old! It’s still cold and grey, with a little rain here and there. My good friend and work bestie Meg has her last day today… she is off to fresh pastures, and begins her new job at a local school later this week. She’s going to be an AHOY… which apparently translates to Assistant Head of Year, but as you can imagine, the ‘Ahoy There!’ and ‘Pirate Meg’ jokes have been rife lately. We couldn’t let the occasion pass unmarked, so we met up for lunch at The Penny and a good old gossip for old times’ sake.
