Friends . . . Elton John

This is a candid of my walking friend Jen picking cherries.  Her and Paul came out for morning tea and then we went off to pick.  Hopefully next week I will be back to walking somewhere.  The black bird netting is supposed to keep the birds of the cherries but still there were four inside when we arrived.  Paul is from America and we discussed cherry pies.  If any blippers have a recipe I would like to have a go at making one.  I make apple pies, rhubarb pie, bakewell tart, but I have never known a cherry pie in New Zealand. 
The song is from 1971.  Elton and Bernie wrote the soundtrack for a movie called Friends set in the south of France.  A love story that I recall being lovely and I bought the LP which I still have because I just can't part with music.
