as i was returning - from taking my car - around the block for - it’s bi-weekly neighborhood tuning - i noticed a couple of - squirrels frolicking about the - courtyard and wondered if - i might be able to persuade - them into posing for me - for a quick squirrel portrait - i figured my chances were - fairly good since they - didn’t run as i approached - them slowly and they simply - stared at me - but then one decided - to venture off leaving - the other behind so working - quickly and quietly i got - as close as i dared - then snap, snap - i thanked the precious being - because just lookit that face after all

i couldn’t leave well - enough alone and faffed with - the one decent pic i’d gotten - adding a somewhat eclectic frame - and turning it into mono - because i just thought it - had more depth that way - all in all i figured it - turned out to be…
