Open air bathing?
We are having the bathroom slightly remodelled: taking out the bath and substituting with a walk-in shower. Neither of us can easily get out of a bath any more, so this seems prudent as a safety move. Getting old, in body anyway.
The whole manoeuvre means shifting the current window above the bath, and our clever builder has a cunning plan for a window that mirrors the roof line.
Meanwhile it is open air, boarded up at night. Won't be finished until January of course, as NZ pretty well shuts down for several weeks at Christmas.
One of the bonuses of having work done is it means there is little point in trying too hard with housework...
And the extra: while Maisie and I walked yesterday we met an elderly man we see and greet quite often. This time he stopped me and said 'Have a flower". He gave me a pretty geranium from a bag of many he was carrying, spreading pleasure around the suburb I suspect. Kind man, lovely gesture. A great deal of life is good and I want to concentrate on those parts.
