Standing to Attention

It was dry, but bitterly cold here today. Out in the car this afternoon, I passed Cosmeston Country Park so decided to park up and get a photo. These Canada geese were all lined up as if they were waiting for me. I wondered why they were all standing on one leg. Apparently they do it to prevent heat loss, by tucking one leg underneath their body. It's the human equivalent of putting our hands in our pockets. Not sure if I could stand on one leg as long as they can though!
