Spent a lot of the day at Hyde Hall RHS gardens. There was a craft & design fair : nothing that I could afford that I wanted, and not much that I couldn't afford that I wanted either ...

Saw these plants - the garden specialises in harsh hot dry conditions, as that's what we seem to be getting over here in the East. This is a slightly fleshy individual, which has a wonderful spiral in the way the leaves grow out of the stalk.
