Swans

There were 3 but 1 was hiding behind the one on the right! Yesterday A returned from somewhere to find an injured one on the track to their farmhouse. She contacted Swan Rescue and luckily they came out and took it to our local vets.

Possibly it had flown into power cables and had slashed and broken its leg. I didn’t know that our vet treats wild animals for free (no doubt we pay indirectly) and said that swans are too heavy to deal with a broken leg. Hopefully they will have been able to help rather than the alternative….

I expect A will be notified.

I wondered if the third swan I saw was looking for its partner.
