Smoke

Big Smoke Brewery Advent Calender, days 1-10.

Quite topical really as I've just managed to set the smoke alarm off too.

We landed at 0747 this morning after a goodish flight. There was a baby in the seat behind me who, to be fair, wasn't anywhere near as irritating as his mother who kept getting up every 10 mins but I managed a few hours dozing and one film.  The stars aligned for baggage claim, tubes, trains and buses and we were walking in the front door two hours later. Other than the battery in one of the smoke alarms going (which didn't stop it working, as above) and two sulking cats everything seems to have survived.  

A quick turn around and straight out to buy a Christmas tree. I'm back at work tomorrow and then up to Nottingham direct from the office on Thursday evening for No.2 s graduation on Friday so there's not much time over the next few days. There's also still a bit of a discussion needed with the ex wife and her husband as there are only four tickets for the graduation and five of us (including No.1 who's managed to get a day off work) want to go. I'm not sure who will be the better person and back down but it's probably unlikely to be him (and he'll still manage to spoil the day somehow).
