Old friends

We had a nice surprise when we found the boxes containing all the Christmas things. When we put them away in January we did a huge sort, took much that we did not want to the charity shop and tidied  and organised the rest. So it was so much easier to find what we needed today. 

The tree is up, lights are on and I have started decorating it. Of course Santa has to be under the tree, because that is where he has sat every year since I made him for Clair's first Christmas. As she has a significant birthday coming up in January, that is a very long time ago. An old and dearly loved friend. Once when the grandchildren were looking through some books of photos of their Mum when a child, they shouted "look there's Santa under the tree"!
