Glorious mud...

Along some of the high farm tracks mounds of mud, rocks and other debris have been pushed aside to make them passable for vehicles. Weeks after the torrential rains and flooding in this region the clean up is visible in unexpected places, including high up on the mountain tracks where I normally only see goats!

Winter has certainly arrived in Andalucia and it was bitingly cold  walking in the wind  today but beautifully sunny all the same. I noticed a little van laden with Pointsettias arriving at the village greengrocer's on my way down the hill so will have to pick one up tomorrow. It seems it's the seasonal plant to have just about everywhere!
