The Old Man
It was disturbingly quiet on the work front today.
Quite literally, nothing going on, so I took the opportunity to meet and catch up with a friend (the friendship was made official today) over a much-needed hot chocolate.
It was then home via Subway (never again, don’t know why I went, I can make a much better sandwich than that) and to make sure I was in for the delivery of a new phone (it’s ace).
It would have been unnatural to leave it in its wrapper for too long, so I lost a lot of time to sorting it all out, updating everything and logging back into a surprising number of apps - didn’t think I used that many!
The main reason for the upgrade was the advanced camera, so as darkness fell, I took a stroll and snapped a few as I tried to get used to the fancy camera controls.
I know I’m getting old as I found myself muttering things like “crikey”, “I’ll be…” and “the things these things can do these days” etc.
I then deposited the phone back in my wheelie shopper and headed home for Corrie and a Horlicks.
