Mantle Memories

This painting hung over my Auntie's piano for years.  Her daughter gifted it to me years ago and I cherish it.  3-5 inches of new snow this morning which really isn't a problem but the freezing rain coming may well be.  Tomorrow will be a mess but it will warm up considerably on Wednesday and it will turn to rain so I may be able to get out for my little adventure in Boston.  Time will tell.  And yes, that is a Christmas ornament of the late Queen hanging on the mantle. (close-up in the extras.)  My tree is too tiny to hang it there, so she gets pride of place on the mantle.
