Making Films

Well, sleep evaded me completely last night. At around two, I gave up trying and got up. Usually, if I potter about in my study for a while, I get sleepy again, but this time, I was out of luck. Fortunately, I was supervising all day at work, which meant I was busy and talking to people the whole time… but even so, keeping awake was not easy. Plenty of coffee and several Monsters helped a little…

Ironically, when I returned home in the evening, I felt wide awake again. Gubs and I spent a happy hour or two playing with lenses and lighting gear. He’s applying to universities to study Filmmaking next year, so I’ve been helping him assemble a small collection of gear so he can use his phone for cinematography: a few Moment lenses, mini tripods, LED lights, and a DJI gimbal so far.
