An unusual jumping spider
This is the first black and white jumping spider I've seen. I know it's a jumping spider because I saw it jump, away from me and my camera which it couldn't help but see with its eight eyes. My extra shows it at first. My main shows it soon after in defensive mode which I thought was the more dramatic shot.
It's on a rose in our garden. The blooms are quite small, about five or six cm in diameter on average. The spider's head and body is little more than one cm long.
Thanks for hosting carolinav.
