Lewis Tower

This tower stands on the site where the Prince of Nassau's attempted invasion in 1779, Rector du Parcq had placed his cannon to attack the French forces as they tried to land.

This tower was built in 1835 and named in honour of Colonel GG Lewis who was the commanding officer of the Royal Engineers at the time.

This tower stands at one end of the five mile road towards L'Etacq.
