DDW's July Challenge - by Anniemay - "a formal protrait"

Our kids are back from Germany, plus Noel's daughter Tara, who lives in Germany and spends the summers with us, and occasionally Easter and Christmas. Tara and Sonja have been best friends and step-sisters for nearly 8 years and enjoy every second when they're together. They flew up together today (all on their own, like grown-ups), landed in Orkney in torrential rain and haven't stopped being high as kites since - so this is as formal as it gets!
