I Goat

My day off, regardless I was on the 0652 to London with the office commuters. This made for a long day but gave me leisure to wander the lanes around Liverpool Street and discover Spitalfields, Shoreditch and Brick Lane where I have never been before. After a cool breakfast with a friend I had time to explore the Guildhall, discover the underground Roman amphitheatre, check out the Bank of England museum and learn about the billions of £ worth of gold under the building (why didn’t I know this!)….and walk down to London Bridge and along the south bank, all before lunch. And there was still time to kill with a tour of the Tower of London and a quick look at the crown jewels before the Christmas carol concert that was my actual reason for being in town and a train home tired and hungry!
