Day 3

Just before 1am, two nice young men turned up with a generator. An hour later, I had lights, wifi and a small amount of energy for a cup of tea. It's quite sensitive and tripped out when I tried to put a washing load on, but the topper upper (the man who calls round twice daily to top up the fuel) has shown me how to restart it if it trips again. I've made a mental note not to risk vacuuming, laundry or ironing, just in case, I don't know how long it'll take to get the heating back on.
