3 Blippers and a friend out to lunch!

Stephen dropped me off at the Quinto Lounge in Sutton Coldfield to meet up with my three friends.The two of them on the left are blippers.
It was a lovely time. Very special. We have all known each other for a long time now.
I had some really upsetting news just before I went.
My friend Mary, whom I’ve known since we met at College in the late ‘60’s and also one of my bridesmaids, had just written to tell me she’s been diagnosed with cancer of the œsophagus, and is being admitted to RVI Newcastle, tomorrow. A three hour drive from where she lives in West Cumbria near St Bees.
Last Christmas she had just lost her lovely husband to cancer. We all met up last summer when we were staying in Ambleside for our Golden Wedding, and went to see them.
I have just spoken with her, and her cousin, who is taking her tomorrow morning.
Being out relaxing with friends this afternoon was such a blessing.
