Christmas in Murrintown
The wind had dropped somewhat, though it was biting cold. So we spent a few minutes sorting out the patio - put the swing seat frame back on its feet, put the seat itself in the garage for the moment, picked up the pots scattered everywhere. We discovered that our satellite dish had parted company with its bracket - it wasn't on the floor yesterday, so we didn't notice, but by this morning it had fallen right off. Hopefully there'll be no more excitement this winter.
In the afternoon I went to an orchestra rehearsal in Murrintown. No flowers left, so you get the Christmas decorations.
As we were eating dinner, I saw a mouse several times running across the kitchen floor - he's getting behind the baseboard of the units underneath the fitted dishwasher door! We moved our humane trap to near his "doorway". Later in the evening, after W had gone to bed, I heard something, looked down, and he was scampering across the sofa beside me! Cheeky blighter.
I can report that he's now (Tuesday morning) been caught, and transported a mile down the road to a field. Hoping he's the last, at least for now.
