After the rain

I liked the color and texture and delicacy of this photo. We had a sudden, strong, but brief midday shower today and everything looks fresh and new. This is a Japanese maple in my flower bed in front of our home--the tree has loved the frequent rains this summer and looks as lacy and colorful from a distance as it does up close.
