The Servant Revealed!

This morning's skies were overcast and the chilly air felt heavy with moisture, though it wasn't really rain as we gathered at FBC to enjoy the warmth of fellowship as we all joined hearts and voices in worship and praise to God.  We began our service with a congregational song.  Daniel followed that up with the welcome before leading the choir, orchestra and all our talented accompanists and one extra special guest (thanks Bonnie for joining us in the choir) in one final sneak preview of the Christmas Concert we will present next Sunday morning, a lovely song called "Child Of Promise".  After that, the congregation joined us in singing a few Christmas carols just before Pastor Wes turned our attention to Isaiah 49:1-13  to reveal the identity of the shadowy servant he introduced us to last week.  He laid out the description in such a clear picture,so that we could see the only person who could fulfill all the prophecies and characteristics was, is and always has been Jesus.  We are to heed his word, his example of living a life fully depending on God Who is sovereign and faithful.  We are not responsible for doing every little thing, but only what God calls us to do.  We also heed His mission to bring the good news of Jesus to the whole world so that the end result for all believers is worship of the one true God!  Pastor Wes had much more to say than I can tell you here, but you can see it on the Live-stream and be inspired!
