Our Conifer

Which is rather tall, is my only worry when it is blowing a gale,. Since they took down the sycamore tree, which shielded it from the wind,  it's open to the elements and it does tend to blow about although it's not just one trunk it's several trunks from the main bit at the bottom, I had to have the other one taken down because one of the trunks broke and they are pretty big, heavy  and long. So we had it taken down to a stump. Mind you that Apple tree looks a bit dodgy, it has quite a lean.

Got an early walk in today. It has rained most of the day with just the odd bright spell, We have had quite a few strong gusts of wind, bud all seems quiet now.

I spent this afternoon, making Christmas Cards, and writing cards to neighbours and friends,  Just got the family ones to sort out now. I usually get some from the farm shop supporting the Local Horse and Donkey sanctuary, but they haven't sent any this year so will have to see what I can get locally.

I just have 3 more people to buy presents for, but no idea what I am getting. If it's a nice day sometime this week I may just pop into Castleford and do a quick reckie, see if I can come up with something.

Getting close to Christmas now, I have brought the box of trimmings and the tree down from the shed, so will see about decorating it and putting up some lights this week.
