No entry

Rob and I decided to go to the Christmas market at Kirkby Lonsdale today, as we haven’t been for many years and it would be nice to see.
So that was going to be my Blip today. Alas. The road was blocked by a police car, and there was a great column of smoke billowing up from somewhere in the town.
We could get down to the church, and then on to Devils Bridge but the centre was completely closed off! We counted seven Fire Engines.
So we took Bonnie along the river, which was being pumped out by the Fire Brigade! And then along to the Radical Steps and up to Ruskin’s view.
Back to the church, but still taped off so we retreated and went to Sainsburys instead…
I have discovered that some apartments in one of the old buildings was on fire since 6am. Fortunately no one injured, but a tragic and frightening incident. I will make sure to unplug our Xmas lights each evening!
