We had a lovely day out today, courtesy of Uncle N's present to us all last Christmas - a voucher for the St James Quarter.

We started with lunch at Pho - a Vietnamese restaurant.  CyclopsJnr fancied noodles and his parents were pleased to have something a bit more interesting than some of our usual child-friendly haunts.


After lunch we went to Lane 7 bowling.  CyclopsJnr had the bumpers up, but was very excited to get some skittles down without relying on the bumpers at all!  We had great fun.  I was pleased to be the least-worst bowler in the group...

To round off the afternoon we went to see Red One at the cinema.  We all loved it!  I thought it was really quite a clever and interesting use of Christmas mythology - something in it for the grown ups as well as the kids.

A lovely family day out on a cold and wintry day.
