Not the Christmas Cake

Looking at the snow dusted trees by the roadside today I was reminded of the wee trees which we kids used to place into the still wet icing of my mother's Christmas Cake.
Of course you would never see such a cake where I live now and boy do I miss stuff like that at Christmas.
We put up and decorated out tree this evening though. Photo might follow tomorrow.
