Warmth!
I am so incredibly grateful for my lovely wood stove. It might be small but it's incredibly powerful. I tend to get a fire going first thing in the morning, not matter what our plans are for the day. If we're home, then it'll be kept burning throughout the day, otherwise I'll restart it when we get back. Often I'll put wood on right before I go to bed and I've found that the lounge has some residual heat thanks to the metal taking a long time to get completely cold. It's lovely.
We went to church and had a few people ask about Little Man, they'd either heard from me, via the grapevine or seen the activity around the nursery on Friday (the joys of living in a small village). I was able to share with the church what happened and how we're doing. We got a lot of love and support.
We quickly popped into the supermarket after the service, before we came home, as I wanted to get some chocolate for Little Man's teachers to thank them for their calmness and care of Little Man before I got to there.
The rest of the day was spent relaxing. We took the cold ash from the wood stove to the bin, and brought more wood in. Little Man helped me with the empty ash bucket. He brought it and put it next to the stove for me.
