The square at night

There were only five of us ringing this morning and then only eight at church so it was a good job the ringers were there. The rest of the day was quiet. I caught up with yesterday’s cricket and football and settled down to read my book in the afternoon. I got an unwelcome email informing me that our tenants have given notice to quit. The house has deteriorated in our absence and the estate agent says it will need some improvements if we want to let it again. We will authorise the improvements, but may decide to sell if the house does not let easily or we don’t get good tenants next time
