Each year...
We first bought our Christmas tree from the Forestry Commission (as was) at Glenbranter in December 2007, when I was Environment Minister and therefore also Forestry Minister. I had done a photo call from there in early December of that year encouraging people to buy from the Commission so it would have looked odd not to do so myself.
I haven't blipped the purchase every year since, even though we have done it every year, but am doing so again today to mark what , in this household, is now a tradition.
It has also brought to mind the role that these journals have in marking the passage of time , sometimes through repeated events or anniversaries - taking of which, yesterday marked our move into Feorlean 32 years ago.
(PS - if you are thinking of going there for a tree, they appear to be going very fast)
