The Day The Lake Froze Over

It finally got cold enough last night for the lake to freeze over. The sky was pink this morning and it would have made a lovely shot. But, I have a cold and didn't want to make it worse going outside, so I waited for it to warm up.

The foreground is grass, covered in ice from the wind the other night. Crunchy to walk on. I tried to capture the sensation.

A two shot exposure, blended in Photoshop. I corrected the leaning buildings whilst I was there.
